    Good Morning,

    I hoping someone can point out the error of my ways (I been struggling to get this to work for days), I have being searching through the forums and tried a number of different suggestions. just cant seem to get it to work as expected.

    I have a user input box, which I want to prefix the filenames,
    My index page is passing though ok, but it's not what the User inputted, but the name of my variable.

    I read it's because initialisation has happened before I enter name in the box, but I cant seem to get update it, I tried the 'setting' method but then I lose the multi upload.

    My Goal:
    Allow user to input their name (don't mind how)
    Upload multiple images at once (automatically) which has their name prefixed.

    I have striped back all the code to just do this basic.

    Would really appreciate the advise/ help

    No not yet, still trying, I tried a few work round's with promoting the user for input on page load that works and I can get it to save the variable, but I still cant seem to update the formData (filename). if I have the value set before i load the page meaning value="John" />
    this works perfectly.

    as soon as I figure this out I post my finding, it's really frustrating as it likely something really simple for someone who knows, but i'm missing it.

    it consuming hours, which make me more determined to find it. :-)
