Dynamic formData?

I'm able to pass the form values using formData but only the values that the form had on page load. Whats the best way to get the current value of additional inputs on upload?

If you're using auto uploads, you can set the formData in the onAddQueueItem event like so:

'onAddQueueItem' : function(file) {
  this.data('uploadifive').settings.formData = { 'someKey' : $('#formFieldID').val() };
}

Or if you're doing a manual upload, you can wrap your upload call and change it just before upload:

function uploadFiles() {
  $('#file_upload').data('uploadifive').settings.formData = { 'someKey' : $('#formFieldID').val() };
  $('#file_upload').uploadifive('upload', '*');
}

Thank you! I was going off your docs and it said to use onUploadFile. I hadn't even tried onAddQueueItem.

This recipe doesn't seem to work if doing multiple uploads. While the first onAddQueueItem event does set the formData, later onAddQueueItem events then overwrite the formData before earlier uploads begin (i.e. upload script is posted), therefore sending/associating the later formData with the earlier files.

Any suggestions for how to make this work with multiple simultaneous uploads?

Or did I miss something here?

Also, is there any way to retrieve dynamic formData or some other id associated/created at onAddQueueItem to its corresponding other events (such as onError, onDestroy, etc.)?

@hermann: Its working with multiple uploads too. Just now verified. \:D/

Tried the manual version but doesn't work.

If I include the , '*', I get an error message

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'find' of undefined
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'responseText' of undefined jquery.uploadifive.min.js:6

If I remove the, '*', the file uploads, no errors generate, but nothing is posted to the database.

This shouldn't be so hard, surely including a text field in the form is a common usage of this product, I've been scouring google for ages after getting no help from the docs, have tried over 15 variations and nothing. WHAT THE!!!!

They would later find out that the captain and first mate had been rescued after 23 hours in the ocean.
