This forum is a community forum meant for users of the plugin to collaborate and help solve issues with implementation, etc. Unfortunately, as the creator of the plugin, I do not have much time to attend to every request here as this is only a side project and I must work a full-time job to provide for my family. This is how I keep the Flash version free and the HTML5 version low cost.
UploadiFive 1.1.1 has been released which includes a small fix for added support on touch devices including iOS 6 devices.
Not appearing in IE6 or 7
  • HI,

    I currently have my button set up like this.
    <input id=\"fileInput\" name=\"fileInput\" type=\"file\" />
    <script type=\"text/javascript\">
    $(document).ready(function() {
    $('#fileInput').uploadify({
    'uploader' : 'js/uploadify/uploadify.swf',
    'script' : 'js/uploadify/uploadify.php',
    'cancelImg' : 'js/uploadify/cancel.png',
    'buttonImg' : 'js/uploadify/LOAD-pic.gif',
    'wmode' : 'transparent',
    'width' : 245,
    'height' : 91,
    'auto' : true,
    'folder' : '/pic_uploads',
    'multi' : false,
    'sizeLimit' : 102400000,
    'fileExt' : '*.jpg;*.jpeg;*.gif;*.png',
    'onComplete' : function(event, queue, obj, response, data){
    if(response != \"\"){
    // window.location.replace(\"pic-thank-you.php\");
    $('#image_id').val(response);
    }
    }
    });
    });
    </script>

    This works in all browsers. Even IE6 & 7 render the code out.
    In Firebug, the code rendered is
    <input type=\"file\" width=\"245\" height=\"91\" name=\"fileInput\" id=\"fileInput\" style=\"display: none;\"/>
    <object width=\"245\" height=\"91\" type=\"application/x-shockwave-flash\" data=\"js/uploadify/uploadify.swf\" id=\"fileInputUploader\" style=\"visibility: visible;\">
    <param name=\"quality\" value=\"high\"/>
    <param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\"/>
    <param name=\"allowScriptAccess\" value=\"sameDomain\"/>
    <param name=\"flashvars\" value=\"uploadifyID=fileInput&amp;amp;pagepath=/&amp;amp;buttonImg=js/uploadify/LOAD-pic.gif&amp;amp;script=js/uploadify/uploadify.php&amp;amp;folder=/pic_uploads&amp;amp;width=245&amp;amp;height=91&amp;amp;wmode=transparent&amp;amp;method=POST&amp;amp;queueSizeLimit=999&amp;amp;simUploadLimit=1&amp;amp;fileExt=*.jpg;*.jpeg;*.gif;*.png&amp;amp;auto=true&amp;amp;sizeLimit=102400000&amp;amp;fileDataName=Filedata\"/>
    </object>

    The IE web developer plugin confirms this. But IE doesn't display the custom button nor will it display the standard button.
    I have tried to set a width and height and all the different elements I can see and just set a background image, but then if you click on it it still doesn't do anything.

    Any idea what I can try to get this to work in IE6 and 7?

    Thanks!
