buttonText property can be set to something that's not ASCII but e.g. UTF-8. But flash button displays digits for non-ascii symbols - bug. Neither \uNNNN javascript syntax nor url encoding doesn't help.
I also tried to use UTF-8 characters in the buttonText but no success. I also tried to use ISO 8859-1 for these characters but again no success. Having an application like uploadify 2010 without support for UTF-8 characters and only english language characters is nothing to be proud of.
I had the same problem. I fixed when I go to uploadify.fla, whitch cames with uploadify 2.1.4 version. But you have to have Adobe Flash Pro CS4 to edit this file. There you can change "Select files" text: font, style, language, bigger smaller and s.o. Then export the movie to .swf file. It works. Some body help how to change .swf to be button in Flash Pro. I want to have effects when mouse over the flash button
Version 3.1 will be released sometime on Monday and we'll be pushing people to use CSS to style the button instead of styling the Flash button. v3.1 will have all new documentation and new site.
