With latest flash version uploadify not working in firefox

With flash latest version 11.7.700.202, uploadify is not working properly in firefox. if you select files it is not able to upload files in firefox, in ie and chrome its working properly. Kindlyl see this matter and try to resolve this issue it was working fine with older flash versions

fileDataName, not actually bug

I found the oddest behavior in this plugin.
The plugin itself is great and I'm going to use it in every project that involves uploading files.
But I ran into odd behavior with fileDataName. It has default value of "Filedata", which isn't debugging friendly at all.

I spent some time wondering why my upload isn't working, until I noticed that.

There is really simple solution for this, just edit jquery.uploadify.vXXX.js a little bit.
Look at line 42 (ish) for the following code

fileDataName   : 'Filedata', // The name of the file collection object in the backend upload script

Replace it with:

fileDataName   : jQuery(this).attr('name'), // The name of the file collection object in the backend upload script

Then the default value is automatically the input value of your file input.

Uploadify v3 bug. Unecessary request when there is no button_image_url set.

When there is not backgroun image uploadify makes an wrong http request to the current page url appending false at the end.
Fix:
Find following code in the upper part of the file:

and rewrite it to:

queueSizeLimit not working properly in google chrome

I am using uploadifive to upload files. I have set the quesizelimit and filesToUpload to 5. quesizelimit is working fine in google chrome. When i select 5 files it let me select the file. When i select 6th file, it gives max file alert which is correct. But when i remove one file and select the same file that i was trying to select earlier, file does not add to the queue and upload either. It is happening in google chrome only. It is working fine in firefox.

Uploadify v3.2 breaks my implementation for some reason. When I revert to v3.1.1, everything works like a charm. I would be happy to troubleshoot why, however, I only have the compressed JS for v3.1.1. Where can I download older versions?

I somehow doubt this is an uploadify issue, as I've had no problems with the implementation working on IE8, IE7, Chrome, and Firefox on at least 3 other installations, but there is 1 user which is seeing this issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the flash plug-in, as it would seem to be an issue there. Any ideas on debugging this one? Thanks beforehand for any help.

I'm running:
Mac OS X 10.5.7
Safari 4.0.3
Firefox 3.0.14
Host based Apache server
Uploadify v.2.1.0

What I'm doing is a little extension validation within the onSelect-funtion, like so:

Hence, with this code, if I add one .php file to the queue it shows up on the list - but doesn't really exist in the queue - and leads to errors when trying to press the corresponding cancel- or Upload-button.

works fine if i try from other locations

shouldn't the uploader get the proxy settings from the browser?

Uploadify 3.1 not working in IE

I'm using uploadify 3.1. It works in all other browsers except in IE(7, 8, 9).
I monitored networks using IE web developer tools. It's weird that IE requested the uploadify.swf using HTTP HEAD method instead of GET.

This request was hanged and upload button was not clickable. After like two minutes IE fired another GET request to fetch the uploadify.swf and succeeded immediately and everything was working all right.

I don't know if it's a bug or not. Could anyone give me some help? Thanks!

I am using downloaded version with this settings in uploadify.js
testing on localhost, WAMPSERVER
when I uploading smaller file less than 9MB it goes OK.. uploaded moved

when file have more than 9MB in debug i see "( ! ) Notice: Undefined index: timestamp"
and file file is "completed" but real not uploaded and not moved....

I try "method:get" it send "timestamp" but _FILE not.

HELP PLEASE.... thanks.

After looking with all browsers I had in a lot of versions (multiple VMs) I discovered while testing under Firefox 2 that my issue was an Apache session related issue : I use htaccess & htpasswd on this currently under development website, and the session was not transmit somewhere.

As read on other posts, it looks like a flash issue loosing the session/generating a new one, with no authentification.
