Getting 404 error before hitting the server

I've got uploadifive working for almost all files. However, when I try to upload some video files, I get a 404 error that shows up in the queue like so:

In my upload script, I am writing to a log file on the very first line that tells me the upload script is being executed. This works fine for all successful files and I can read the log entries.

When I inspect the request in Firebug, it looks like the request to my upload script is generating the 404 error, but the script definitely does exist, and is succeeding in most cases. In the failure cases, the upload script doesn't write to the log, telling me that it's never being hit.

The upload script is a ColdFusion 10 script and is using . I've been a CF developer for 15 yrs, so I'm fairly confident that it's not a ColdFusion problem. I've adjusted all possible settings for to accept all file types. The file size does not exceed the server file size limit.

What else could be causing this error? Is it possible that Uploadifive is generating some sort of client-side 404 error? Maybe the browser cannot access the file for some reason? Is there any thing on the HTML/Javascript side of things that could be the problem?

Hello! I bought this script and i cant get it to work.

Im in windows/php/apache.

All i did so far is get the sample folder and put it on my Root and executed index.php.

What happen is: I load index.php inside chrome, everything load fine. I select a png file (around 100kbytes) and the file appears on the queue list. When i click UPLOAD, progress bar goes to 100 and it says COMPLETED. When i go to uploads folder, inside sample, it has nothing there. I have no errors showing up and i have everything in php.ini setup up right.

I tryed to debug putting javascript alerts and php echos inside uploadifive.php and check-exists.php and they never went through, it seems those files are never called.

Anyone have any idea!??!?!

cgi incompatability?

I've been using Uploadify 2.1.4 very well within forms generated via a cgi app. I can't seem to do as much with Uploadifive or with Uploadify v3.

My form works perfectly if simply opened statically but fails if loaded and sent via cgi app. Checking Source Code on both shows nothing that is different; it's simply a load file and send. I've tried with the full URL on paths. It still allows selecting files, but won't do anything else.

Is there somewhere in the minified scripts that a path adjustment needs to be made?

Or is there a way to get the file name on my old 2.1.4 which is the only change I needed to make - but alas no 2.1.4 docs are on line and function(file) provides an undefined value for file_name

Uploadifive not uploading at all and the support email bounces

This is frustrating. My ISP shut down the old uploadify saying it was a security risk re file sizes. So I went and bought uploadifive as I am going to HTML5 everywhere now and even though I am using the full server path to the uploads folder, chmodd'd 777, it does not actually upload the files or show me an error of what it IS doing (or isn't in this case). It appears from the user interface that it is working, but when I check the uploads directory, it's empty. I tried emailing support and the email bounced. I am very frustrated and know it was only $5, but I feel ripped off as well.

I have download the html5 version of the uploadifive, previously used with flash version of uploadify.

With Flash Version, below code worked fine and displayed the file creation,updation date time.

I upload an ofx file. My program then analyses the file, extracts the data for each field, creates an SQL query to insert the data into the database, (after having checked that it hasn't already been entered of course), and then reports back with a summary for each query of the data inserted or otherwise, the result of the query.

My question is: How do I get this data to display on the web page. It shows up in firebug, but all I need is it to show up in the page.

Can someone please help. I can't get this to work, have tried countless variations, but all the google searches relate to uploadify, and code is different.
I'm trying to add a textarea to the form and pass this data to the upload script. According to the docs its simply a matter of adding this to the formData, file uploads but is not capturing my textarea data, and is not generating any errors. What am I doing wrong?

I am trying to change the name of the file when it is uploaded. I have a script that gets information of the user from the database (eg. First Name, Last Name) and i want the uploaded file to be renamed to Firstname_lastname.extention - How can i do this with UploadiFive?

The upload says it's completed, but there are no files in the folder. I've verified the settings in uploadfive.php are set to /uploads/

When I upload 4 files I get the alert that I cannot upload any more files, but if I deletes a file from the queue, the counter doesn't adjust with -1, so if I try to upload a new file I get the same alert that I cannot upload more files.

Am I missing something?

basically, imageUpload runs when uploading, imageError runs run when there is errors, and cancel runs when cancelling.

Questions are:

a. if i hit cancel x button when uploading, I get from the console:

imageUpload
POST http://mysite.net/u/lupS
Aborted
imageUpload
imageCancel

explanation: imageUpload runs, and image posts, i click cancel, when cancel runs, but before that image upload runs. why? and how can i avoid imageUpload method running on cancel. (it should not imho)

b. I choose a file that is 5mb, which is over the limit. I get:

imageError
imageUpload
imageCancel

imageError runs, then upload, then cancel, when i click cancel. why does upload run after getting an error.

Any ideas recomendations help greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I have uploadifive working with Firefox and Chrome. I am now wondering how to get the fallback working for IE and Safari. On your site it states "A fallback can be set for browsers that do not support the HTML5 File API", but I can't find any instructions as to how to set this fallback.

I would be glad for some help with this.

I don't like complaining, but I am a little bit upset that uploadifive doesn't work with Internet Explorer... And on the frontpage it says "Fallback methods allow for graceful degredation" ???

I am trying to make it work but couldn't find anything about this in the manuals, and now I have to rely on some comments by users in the forum ???

Why does it say "graceful degredation" and why is there nothing in the manuals ? I really prefer to pay a little bit more for a working solution if it saves me some hours experimenting with something that should work by itself.

Is there an example of using Uploadifive to upload to an Amazon S3 bucket??

We need to upload very large video files (sometimes 9G) for our highschool events. 4 hours at full 1080p can be quite big.

We are currently using Uploadify and we get timeouts and disconnections...

Would UploadiFive me more reliable and why?
